Biography/History: William E. Borah (1937-2017) was a lawyer in New Orleans active in matters of historic preservation and land use.
Scope and Content: The William Borah Papers Additions, Part 2, include photographs, notes, news clippings, letters, legal documents, fliers, signs, a videotape, a computer disk, and other papers regarding the Castellon Pharmacy construction controversy and the Wal-Mart construction controversy. The Castellon Pharmacy materials document the controversy over construction at the Oak Street store in the Carrollton Riverbend neighborhood of New Orleans. The Wal-Mart materials document the controversy over plans to construct a large store and a housing development on the site of the former St. Thomas housing project in the Lower Garden District neighborhood of New Orleans.
